Telco Pros Inc. was founded in June of 2009 by Roger Zona with a mission to partner with businesses and non-profits, driving down corporate operating expenses and eliminating waste within their budget wherever possible.
In 2010, Telco Pros Inc. developed the trade name Non-Profit Efficiency Corporation (NPEC) in order to focus on and better serve the needs of our growing non-profit client base. To this day, we assist hundreds of churches, nursing homes, schools, medical facilities, and government municipalities.
In 2011, NPEC added COO Karl Shaw, developing the trade name TPI Efficiency and once again applying our unique service offering to the for-profit sector.

Due to unprecedented growth, in 2015 TPI moved to 2020 Center Street. This historical landmark—which can be traced back to the beginning of American industrialization—houses our growing firm and serves as a regional hub for allied companies, vendors, and suppliers.

In 2017, we fortified our hands-on approach to customer service, opening branches in Columbus, OH and Baltimore, MD, with several additional locations slated to open soon!

Roger Zona | CEO & Founder
Roger brings over 14 years of contract negotiation, fiscal management consulting, executive account management, and operations experience to this role at NPEC. His entire career has been dedicated to engineering complex, innovative fiscal management and business operational efficiency solutions.
A Northeast Ohio native and longtime supporter of revival and regrowth in Downtown Cleveland, Roger passionately supports Hattie Larlham, The Centers, and The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland.
Roger attended Saint Mary (Chardon), Notre Dame Cathedral Latin, and John Carroll University.
Karl Shaw | COO
In 2011, Karl brought over 20 years of management, procurement, and sourcing experience to his role at NPEC. His executive experience includes Vice-president of Worldwide Strategic Sourcing with Thermo-Fisher Scientific, owner of KSSD Management, LLC, Owner and Executive Vice President at ActionLink, CEO of Pulse Interactive, and Founder of Retail Mashup, LLC. in addition to senior management and consulting roles for international retailers Best Buy, OfficeMax, and Circuit City. Karl’s passion and ability to negotiate custom, unique solutions are a driving force at the heart of NPEC.
Karl grew up in Connecticut, attending the University of Connecticut before moving to Ohio.
